Hello,
I am a part-time solo traveler. When I am not traveling, I am a designer (this is how I fund my travels) and this interest in design, architecture, and art pretty much dictates my travel itineraries.
While I enjoy traveling in groups, I prefer traveling alone or at least have dedicated alone time during my group travels. I am an introvert, so my time to recharge alone is essential.
During my solo travels, I like to take my time to be inspired and be present in the places I visit, be it a museum, a neighborhood, or a city. I prefer to stay in one city for a longer period than rush across different cities to complete a checklist.
Part of the fun of solo traveling is the research and trip-planning process. Because of my slower travel style, I know I won’t be able to cover every single one of my wishlists in one trip. So planning these trips becomes more important. I will be sharing some of these solo travel tips in this blog as well.
Some of my most recent solo travels took place during major life changes. These trips were my refuge, my chance to reset, refocus, and, in some ways, rediscover things I enjoy and appreciate in life.
I decided to start this blog as my chance to pause and reflect on these solo trips by writing and revisiting the travel photos. This is also my way of compiling all of my travel stories, research, and wishlists all in one place.
And if, in this process, any of these writings are useful for anyone else, that'll be amazing.
